The Titanic

People thought the Titanic was unsinkable but then it hit an iceberg in the Atlantic ocean and sank.

The Titanic came from England and was heading to America but hit an iceberg outside New York.

It left on April the 10th sinking on the 15th of April 5 days after leaving.

Only 340 bodies were found after the sinking of the ship.

1,500 people died on the ship, about 1,160 bodies remain lost.

2,435 people boarded the Titanic, 705 people survived and 6 people were saved from the water.

All of the boots from the people are still scattered all over the ship. If you have a look today the boots will still be there.

It is not possible to raise the Titanic because it is 12,500 feet deep in the water.

The titanic is in two pieces and is really broken.

It was 4,000km from New York in America when it sank.

There were 107 children on the Titanic and 50 children died, which means 57 children survived.

It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to sink.

Out of a dozen (12) dogs only 3 very small dogs got let onto a lifeboat and survived. The dogs that were saved were 1 Pekinese and 2 Pomeranians.

Dogs, cats, chickens, other birds and rats (not the pet kind) were on the Titanic.

The Titanic is the biggest ship to ever sink. The captain of the ship is called Captain Edward J. Smith.

Captain Smith ignored seven iceberg warnings from his crew and other ships. If he had called for the ship to slow down then maybe the Titanic disaster would not have happened. It cost $7.5 million to build the Titanic and then it just sunk to the bottom of the ocean, so that's just a waste of money.

108 years ago (in 1912) the Titanic sunk.

There were many lifeboats that were half filled and could have had more people in it, there were 20 lifeboats but they only had time to release 18. 2 lifeboats went down with the ship. Even if they had more lifeboats they wouldn’t have had time to launch them all. 

At 2:20 am was the time that the Titanic sank.

I have watched the movie ‘Titanic’ and it is so so good! If you haven't watched the Titanic then you should because it is really sad but is also good (as I said before). I have also watched the documentary 20 years after they made the movie. (that was also good!)

Ted's Adventure

“Yes!’’ I shouted as I ran after Ted who was flying over the town. He crash landed into a fruit stall and
was covered in tomato. “Ok “ I said the kite didn’t work but we will get there in the end. Back at home:
we need to work on getting the kite just right, so that it will fly in a straight line! We worked all night and
day (well I did at least) and I had finally finished and this was test day. Cautiously I stepped out into the
world and I lifted Ted up into the sky and away he flew! Now I didn’t want to get too excited so I waited
a little and he stayed up in the air! I was flying my Ted on a kite! This was fun! Once we had finished i
got him down and i kept on saying wow we did a great job at making you fly! The end.

Tom Trueheart's Adventure

Crunch,crunch,crunch went the boots of Tom as he slowly walked over the giant leaves. Then, he froze slowly, he got his sword ready to fight whatever was out there. There was movement behind one of the trees in the forest, Tom looked back at the street wanting to go back home but he couldn’t, he had to go on, he had to find his brothers!

Deeper into the forest he saw the most terrifying thing (now since he was the size of a thumb then it would be really terrifying)... a human on a bike! He wanted to run but instead he stepped out of its way and just as it went past Tom stabbed his sword into the back tire. A few seconds later the bike stopped, the person got off and walked the rest of the way back to their car. “Ha,ha!” that's what you get for trying to run me over. But what Tom didn’t know was that the bike didn’t want to purposely run him over, the biker just couldn't see him!

He was trying to find his six brothers, but where could they be? Looking around he could see a hole in a tree and a magpie flying over to the hole with something in his beak and guess what it was!? It was Izack, one of his six brothers!

He ran as fast as he could over to the tree. He tried to climb the tree but it was too high. He just couldn’t do it, so he sat down and thought about it. “Yes!” said Tom finally “I can use my sword to dig into the bark, then I can climb up! A little while later / awhile later he was at the top! And he saw his brothers! “Guys!” he said to them “i’ll distract the bird and you can climb down, ok!” “ok!” they all said together.

So while Tom distracted the bird the six brothers all climbed down the tree, they were better climbers than Tom, but Tom didn’t care. Anxiously the brothers waited for Tom to come down. After a while Tom flew down on the bird! “Wow, amazing, fantastic!” and “Woohoo!” was all the words Tom heard as well as “Thank you so much for saving us!” he flew down to where his brothers were and landed. “Climb aboard!” he shouted. All of his brothers scrambled on the bird as they flew home peacefully with Tom up front. Tom was the oldest and when they got home to their shoe/home their mother came out “oh, thank goodness you're all all right!” “Yes we are fine.” said Tom. “Come inside and tell me about your adventures!” said their mother, and so they did, they told her about everything “Wow!” their mother said “Wow!”

Tom Trueheart

Standing tall having courage and purpose stood Tom Trueheart. His dark brown hair down to his ears, his fringe in his eyes. Just the size of a thumb but as brave as anything, his eyes ready to fight. His tiny fur coat blowing in the breeze. His sword by his side ready to be used. Sharp eyes looking for danger at every sound made.

Teddies!

I have 2 teddies that I have in my window.

1. Big bear: He is about 1 meter tall and is yellowish orange (more yellow though) he has arms and
    legs but no fingers. His face has a muzzle around his nose/below his eyes. He has small black eyes
    and big ears. I have put a homemade mask on him (my gran made the mask)!

2. Curly: He is curly (as you can guess) and has small black eyes. He is a greenish colour and he is a
    little bit smaller than Big bear. He also has arms with no fingers. His arms and legs can move all
    the way around!
