For literacy we used 3 different types of brainstorms over 3 days (1 brainstorm per day) for our writing.
Monday:
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
For me the easiest brainstorm to use was Tuesdays.
For all of these we had to pick a metaphor to use for the story. That was our topic.
Monday’s brainstorm for me was ok but it was a bit hard to think of 4 ideas. I think it would be easier if we would be able to just think of 3 ideas instead of 4. The metaphor I used was: The classroom was a zoo.
Tuesday’s brainstorm for me was the easiest because I could just explain where they were going to be in the story, what they looked like, what they did, and the big idea is where you would just put in the moral of the story (that part was optional though). The metaphor I used was: Her lovely voice was music to his ears.
Wednesday’s brainstorm for me was the hardest. We had to write down the nouns, the verbs, the adjectives, onomatopoeia, and similes. The metaphor I used was: The moon is a white balloon.
